ARNIE "TOKYO" ROSENTHAL |
Arnie “Tokyo” Rosenthal is a 25 year veteran in the boxing business. He’s been
described as a 360 degree player as he’s experienced all facets of the business
including a stint as an amateur boxer.
Rosenthal was the President of the FNN/SCORE sports network from 1985 to 1991
and it was during that time that they broadcast close to 100 world title fights,
the MSG boxing series, and countless other boxing cards to cable households
across the country. SCORE also produced and aired the Coor’s Superfights kick
boxing series. And during his tenure at SCORE Arnie began creating pay per view
events including Furious Friday with Roberto Duran, Mark Breland, and Marlon
Starling.
While at SCORE Arnie began commentating boxing which led to a 20 year career
calling boxing on TV for HBO PPV, HBO International, Prime Network, Star Boxing,
A Ring Of Their Own, Metro Channel, Heavyweight Explosion, and many others.
After leaving SCORE Rosenthal began managing professional fighters and handled
over 50 fighters through 2005 including 6 world champions. Among the champions
and stand outs were Bobby Czyz, Keith Mullings, Paul Vaden, Derrick Harmon, and
Merqui Sosa.
At this same time Arnie co-founded Rock & Sock Productions, a company that
promoted live boxing events, produced Pay Per View Events, and created and
promoted the only weekly televised, all women’s boxing series, “A Ring Of Their
Own”, which aired from 2005-2006. They also pioneered web casting of boxing and
MMA events.
